Zing Voor Vrede en Vrijheid

Zing Voor Vrede en Vrijheid was a benefit concert organised by ReART Collective and with many volunteers to help forced immigrants.

There have been more then hundred people on the stage performing and some of them were musicians who experienced to be forced immigrants themselves. The concert was on Christmas Eve – 24th December – to share the coming together culture. Volunteers cooked, served the meals and 250 people came for the Christmas dinner to support the initiative. The venue of Meervaart was full with 500 audience to see the concert.

HEIMWEE LIEDEREN

Theater RAST, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and reART Collective organised the Heimwee Leideren musical concerts. The evenings took place on 12th of January in Podium Mozaiek Amsterdam as a try out with a dinner. Premiere was in 13th, at Stadsschouwburg Utrecht. Zuiderstrandtheater Den Haag and Schouwburg Deventer concerts followed. Arangements of Selim Doğru, voice of Karsu, Esra Dalfidan, Ilda Simonian and Gülseven Medar, amazing tunes of NBE made the concert very special together with the guest musicians Emrah Oğuztürk, Orkun Ağır, Makis Baklatzis and Alper Kekeç.

STORY OF THE WINDOW COVER

Because ‘Home of Art” Pop Up Art Gallery is very well located, we already had so many curios eyes on the gallery window. Before the opening we needed a window cover to be able to surbrise our visitors and we’ve decided to use the Foam Museum newspaper on the windows. The cover was so successful, we had so many people who photographed the window or asked what is going on in the space. We used a photo of the cover on our Facebook Page to anounce that we are “coming soon”.

KELDERSALE: wine tasting with FINEST GROUP

On Sunday December 14, from 14.00 ’till 18.00h, Home of Art is hosting a “keldersale” (basementsales) afternoon organised by Finest Group. Finest Group imports qualitative products with “feel good factor”. A detail image from Cesium is used on the design.

The Balcony Players play energetic Klezmer and gipsy music. Traditional songs and original compositions inspired on tours trough the Balkans, Brasil and the USA. I took the photos when they were performing for the gallery visitors.

Ideal Learning

IDEAL is a collective of educational innovators who practice and share ways to inspire and engage their students and communities.

This is an international group of education professionals, hosts and trainers, living and working mainly in the Netherlands. The team consists of representatives of several educational organisations and they co-create the programs with The Learning Lab, DOCK20 and Hosted Beings, amongst others.

LOGO’S designed by 56SPACES

This logo is designed for 56SPACES’ itself. The design is inspired by architectural plan lines and axes. Graphically the number 56 is hidden in the background which is a design idea comes from the gestalt principles. The logo has four main masses which represent architecture, photography, graphical design and human interaction.

‘HOME OF ART” is an art gallery on a top location in the Museum district -just across the Concertgebouw- of Amsterdam and only open for two months as a pop up. It has a broad collection of different forms of art such as glass work, paintings, pottery, ceramics and decorative house materials like glass sinks, carpets, hand painted plates from different artists who come from all over Europe. The idea of pop up and having so many artists in the same gallery inspired us to use many circles in a house outline.

THE LEARNING LAB is a think tank for learning and social innovation. The logo consists of both “L’s” of “Learning” and “Laboratory”. In the logo we mirrored the “Lab’s L” to make the L of “Learning”. We decided to make the “Lab’s L”bigger than the L of “Learning” because laboratory takes an important role in learning. We used filleted forms and a modern san serif font to make the identity young and innovative.

IDEAL is a collective of educational innovators who practice and share ways to inspire and engage their students and communities. The name is coming from the initials of “inspiring, dynamic, engaging, authentic learning”. The logo is inspired by the way they practice, which is not linear and very playful. We have four colors in the logo to represent the seasons because of their seasonal meetings.
